The prices of gaming laptops equipped with the new RTX 50 series GPUs aren't dropping as precipitously as their desktop counterparts, but that isn't stopping Lenovo from dishing out some of the best deals I've seen all year long. Currently there are several 2025 Legion Pro models that are marked down to the lowest prices ever after you apply some coupon codes that aren't advertised on Lenovo's site. They are plenty of options here to choose from, including budget RTX 5060 laptops all the way to an RTX 5090 powerhouse. All laptops ship free.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 RTX 5060 Gaming Laptop for $1,099

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 series is a higher-end model featuring an aluminum top and durable plastic bottom. It weighs in at about 5.6 pounds. This system is equipped with a gorgeous 16" OLED display with 2.5K 189ppi resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB SSD.

The RTX 5060 is about 15%-20% more powerful than the RTX 4060 that it replaces and approaches the performance of the RTX 4070. It also supports the newer DLSS 4 technology with multi-frame generation, which widens the performance gap in games that support it. The 5060 is a good entry level to pair with the 1600p display and should run most games at that resolution. With older games like Fortnite or Minecraft, you can expect very high framerates, but you'll need to tweak the settings to get newer demanding games like Cyberpunk or Kingdom Come Deliverance to get 60 frames.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop for $1,349

For a more comfortable gaming experience, consider upgrading to the RTX 5070 GPU. This configuration is equipped with a 16" 2560x1600 165Hz OLED display, Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB SSD.

The mobile RTX 5070 GPU performs about 10%-15% better than the RTX 5060 and 5%-10% better than the RTX 4070. This GPU is a better match for the latop display's 1600p native resolution and costs only $250 more than the RTX 5060 equipped laptop. The next model list below might hit the sweet spot for 1600p gaming, but it also costs a much harder to ignore $550 surcharge over this configuration.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 RTX 5070 Ti Laptop for $1,899

The next level up in power would be a gaming laptop equipped with an RTX 5070 Ti GPU. This configuration features a 16" 2560x1600 165Hz OLED display, Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

The RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU is a substantial upgrade over the 5070, offering 20%-30% increased performance and, in my opinion, the least expensive GPU you should get if you want consistently comfortable (60fps or over) framerates in any released game on the display's native resolution with minimal tweaking.

Lenovo Legion Pro 7 RTX 5080 Gaming Laptop for $2,470

The Legion Pro 7 is Lenovo's highest end gaming laptop, featuring a full metal chassis (both lid and body), Lenovo's best OLED display with 240Hz refresh rate, and better cooling than the Legion 5 series of laptops. This particular configuration is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, GeForce RTX 5090 graphics, 64GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD.

The RTX 5080 mobile GPU has a roughly 15%-20% performance uplift over the RTX 5070 Ti. It's actually slightly more powerful than the previous generation's flagship mobile GPU, the RTX 4090. While the RTX 5070 Ti can handle 1600p, the RTX 5080 can handle the same resolution but with even more demanding features enabled, such as ray tracing, and with less reliance on DLSS. It also has more headroom to stay relevant for more years to come. That's more important for laptops than gaming PCs because unlike PCs, you can't just upgrade the graphics card and be done with it. You'll have to eventually re-invest in an entirely new computer.

Lenovo Legion Pro 7i RTX 5090 Gaming Laptop for $3,149

This is Lenovo's most powerful prebuilt gaming laptop configuration on the site right now, featuring a 16" 2560x1600 240Hz OLED display, Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 is inarguably the most powerful mobile graphics card on the market, performing about 15% better than the RTX 5080. It also has considerably more VRAM (24GB vs 16GB), which can come in handy when playing games at higher resolutions (like on an attached 4K monitor) or if you're using this as a creator or AI workstation.

Why Choose Lenovo?

Lenovo Legion gaming PCs and laptops generally feature better and more rugged build quality than what you'd find from most other prebuilt PCs. Lenovo generally does not throttle the GPU on any of its Legion models, which means you should expect maximum performance. Legion laptops are solidy built, with most models having either an aluminum lid or full metal chassis, include an OLED display option even on their budget models, and feature a great feeling keyboard. The current generation models are up to date with WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Thunderbolt 4 ports as standard. Lenovo also offers excellent customer service; the warranty period is usually 1 year by default, but there's an option to extend it.
