We're heading toward the end of Amazon's four-day Prime Day sale. Some of the most popular deals we've seen at IGN so far are the discounts on physical movies, and for good reason. Price drops are up to 70% off pretty much any movie you can think of, including collections like The Dark Knight trilogy and new releases like Nosferatu.
Some of these movies are also included in Amazon's buy 2, get 1 free promotion, which also applies to hundreds of books, records, and comics. If you're a cinephile who prefers physical media like me, this is the perfect time to add some of your favorite movies to your shelf.
The Best 4K UHD Movies to Grab During Prime Day
The deals I've highlighted don't nearly cover everything that's available, but they're some of the best films made in recent memory (and some of my personal favorites). Being a Prime member is required to get in on the savings, but signing up isn't too painful. You can even get a 30-day free trial, grab the movies you've been eyeing, and cancel the subscription within the 30-day window to not get charged the monthly fee.
The Dune 2-film collection is a great way to kill an entire day and get caught up before Dune: Part 3 (which I can't believe they're not calling Dune: Messiah). The Middle Earth 6-film collection is also fantastic. It comes with both the theatrical and extended cuts of The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies.
Nosferatu came out on DVD pretty recently, making this the biggest discount the Eggers' movie has gotten soon so far. Then there's the Alien 40th Anniversary Edition which sports some of the sickest box art I've seen on a movie in a while. You can bundle also this one in Amazon's concurrent buy 2, get 1 free sale.
I highlight a lot of Christopher Nolan's best works, like Oppenheimer, the Dark Knight Trilogy, and Interstellar, because his films were made to be viewed at home in 4K. If you somehow haven't already, why not get familiar with his style before The Odyssey is out.
The Prime Day deals aren't limited to movies, either. You can grab full box sets of your favorite shows, including sitcoms, cartoons, and prestige dramas. The sale also features tons of anime, including a special edition of Cowboy Bebop. These series typically stick to Blu-ray, but they do come packed with bonus features.

Pretty much anything you can think of is on sale for Prime Day. You can save on Kindles, Apple products, video games, comics, and so, so much more.
