As a Smartphone Snob, I Recommend Grabbing One of These Huge Flagship Handset Deals Before Prime Day Ends

When Amazon Prime Day smartphone deals roll around, I always have our eyes on the big three: Apple, Samsung, and Google. This year, they’ve all turned up with stellar deals.

If you’re after a premium smartphone at a lower price, now’s your last chance to grab one before the discounts disappear at midnight, or if stocks run out first.

Smartphone Deals for Prime Day 2025

First, the biggest surprise is with the 256GB Apple iPhone 16e in black, which has dropped from £699 to just £594, a rare discount on a brand-new iPhone. Powered by a fast A18 chip, this 256GB model handles everything from Apple Intelligence features to gaming no problem.

It’s also got 26 hours of battery life, a 48MP Fusion camera, and a tough-as-nails Ceramic Shield front, to make for an entry-level iPhone that’s still powerful enough to be future-ready and built to last.

Amazon’s currently stating a one-to-three-month dispatch time, but are still taking back orders, which will likely get moved up when new stock is allocated.

For Android fans, the Samsung Galaxy 25 Ultra with a huge 512GB of storage is now £300 off, down to £1049 from £1349. At the time of release, Samsung promised this one as their most feature-rich phone to date, packed with Galaxy AI, a ProVisual camera system, and a sleek, titanium body that feels futuristic.

While it didn’t wow us enough to stand out massively from its competitors, getting an 8/10 in our review by Mark Knapp, it’s still a great 2025 phone that’s more than worth the now-£1000+ price tag.

Arguably, the biggest steal of all among budget-friendly flagship phones is for the 128GB Google Pixel 9, now only £499 (down from £799). That’s £300 off a big-brand phone that only came out late last year. It’s a solid gaming phone that can run modern titles like Zenless Zone Zero in 60FPS, has a solid camera, and a great 6.3-inch Actua display.

The main issues pointed out in IGN’s 7/10 review by Mark Knapp, are that its AI features are a bit all over the place, and the phone doesn’t do enough to justify its higher launch price compared to older models.

With that £38% off, that latter problem is at least solved. If you don’t care about using modern AI bells and whistles as well, then you’ve got a new bargain smartphone that will set you up for the foreseeable future.
