The Best TV Deals of October Prime Day Are OLED Models

We are well into the first day of October Prime Day and, to be honest, there aren't as many TV deals as I would have liked to see. Fortunately, the deals that are available are pretty good. For example, this is the first time a brand new, current-year 77" Samsung OLED TV has dropped to $1,299 from a reputable vendor. Most the the deals are from Amazon, however there are some deals from other retailers that are offering counter Prime Day sales that Amazon hasn't price matched. Despite the fact that these are all "high end" OLED TVs, there are a good number of options here from budget to best.

Samsung S90F 4K QD OLED Smart TV (2025 Model)

The S90F is the current generation (2025) model in Samsung's S90 OLED TV lineup. It's equipped with a quantum dot OLED panel, which is only found in Samsung's higher end TVs. QD OLED TVs are brighter than traditional W-OLED TVs while retaining all of the other benefits of OLED like the near instaneous response time, true black levels, and near-infinite contrast ratio. The Samsung S90F also has the features you'd want in a gaming TV, including a native 120Hz panel, HDMI 1.4 ports, variable refresh rate, and auto low latency mode.

77" Samsung S84F 4K OLED Smart TV (2025 Model)

The S84F is the most affordable TV in Samsung's 2025 OLED lineup. It uses a W-OLED panel, which is a small step down from the quantum dot OLED panels you'll find on higher end Samsung models like the S90. The primary difference between those two panel types is brightness: the QD OLED is brighter so it works better in bright rooms. Despite it's low price, the Samsung S84F still has proper gaming features like a 120Hz native panel with HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR, and ALLM.

LG Evo C5 4K OLED Smart TV (2025 Model)

The LG Evo OLED TV has been our favorite TV for gaming, especially for the PlayStation 5 console for three years running thanks to its outstanding image quality, low input lag, and high refresh rate. The C5 is LG's newest generation (2025) model in the lineup. The C5 uses LG's proprietary Evo panel, which offers higher brightness level and contrast ratio compared to traditional W-OLED TVs (similar to QD OLED panels on Samsung TVs). It has a native 120Hz panel that can be pushed to as high as 144Hz and all four HDMI ports are 2.1 spec for running games in 4K at up to 120fps on a PS5.

65" Sony Bravia 8 4K OLED Smart TV (2024 Model)

The Sony Bravia 8 is a 2024 TV that uses a standard W-OLED panel, so image quality is comparable to the Samsung S85D and LG B4 TVs. The Bravia 8 supports HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision video formats and Dolby Atmos and DTS audio formats. This is a good TV to pair with the PS5 console since it has a native 120Hz panel, HDMI 1.4 ports, VRR, and ALLM.

The Bravia 8 uses "Acoustic Surface Audio" technology, which essentially places the speakers right behind the screen, thus removing any unncessary bezel space and giving the impression that the sound is coming directly from the video itself. Finally, the Bravia 8 uses the Google TV smart interface, which I find it to be preferable to Samsung's proprietary Tizen interface. You can pair your TV with your Android phone so that you can use it as a remote.

55" LG B4 4K OLED Smart TV (2024 Model)

Walmart has the lowest price on a 55" OLED TV. The LG B4 is the 2024 variant of LG's B-series TVs. It's less expensive than the LG C-series TVs because it uses a W-OLED panel instead of an Evo panel and has two HDMI 2.1 ports instead of four. It's still a a good gaming TV because it has a 120Hz native refresh rate, VRR, and ALLM.

55" Samsung "The Frame" TV with Teak Bezel

Honorable non-OLED mention

Samsung's "The Frame" sets itself apart from other TVs with its seamless aesthetics. It features an Art Mode that showcases your choice of fine art, similar to a screensaver on your computer. You can choose art purchased from the Samsung Art Store or your own personal collection of NFTs, personal photos, wallpapers, or whatever else you want displayed. The screen turns itself off via a motion sensor, so you're not wasting electricity either.
